Pork Loin Deal-Hurry ends tomorrow!

Head to Publix today and get a whole pork loin for $1.99/lb. and have the butcher cut it up for you into boneless pork chops and a roast.  This is as cheap as you can get pork!  If you buy boneless chops normally you’ll pay $3.99/lb.  I got 2 whole pork loins cut into thick chops, thin chops and a couple roasts to put in the freezer.  Hurry this sale ends tomorrow 1/3/12.  This is typically how I save on meat.  I also used my Publix Baby Club $1 off any Frest Meat Item coupon for additional savings.  I got a Food Saver for Christmas to vacuum pack all of the meat that I buy in bulk and I’m so excited to have the meat stay good for up to a year with the Food Saver! 

New Publix Ad for 1/4-1/10-Pretty good ad!

The new Publix ad that starts Wednesday is posted on I Heart Publix.  Head HERE to check it out.  Looks like a pretty good ad considering the last one was a large holiday ad.  Here’s what will be on my shopping list for this ad:

• $10/$50 Gas Cards-YAY!-This is like getting $10 worth of FREE gas for every $25 worth of groceries you spend(and this is calculated before your coupons)!  One of my FAVORITE deals that Publix does.

If you need boneless skinless chicken $1.99/lb. is as cheap as it gets at Publix-Stock Up!  I just ordered a 40 lb. box for $1.69/lb. from Zaycon foods that we’ll pick up in a week.  I’ll let everyone know how it tastes and looks.

 “Like” Starkist on Facebook and get a $0.50/1 Starkist Tuna pouch when doubled makes for 29¢ tuna pouches!

Today’s Groupon Getaway deals are great!  This might just be the vacation I’ve been looking for!  This is a good way to save on a family vacation or a weekend getaway!  🙂

With cold and flu season fast approaching, here’s a list of Publix FREE medications:

Since this wasn’t that exciting of an ad I had to really stretch to get $50 worth of items to get 2 gas card deals!  I don’t think I did too bad to get $100 worth of gas for $80 and spend $9.05 on the grocery part and that includes vitamins that I’ll actually use instead of grabbing the moneymaker Sundown vitamins!  If you use Children’s Advil or adult regular Advil, stock up while it has store and manufacturer coupons…this is the stock up price for me!

Great Clips Coupons

Need a haircut?  Check the back page of the MINT magazine that came in the mail yesterday(8/2) for Great Clips coupons for $6.99 for kids/seniors and $8.99  for an adult haircut.  They do a great job on babies and men too!  This is where my husband and little one go!

Clean Out Your Coupons

You can throw out/recycle coupon inserts up to and including 3/6.  You may want to hold onto SS 1/9, it has Band-Aid and Neosporin coupons that expire 12/31/11 and these come in handy to use at CVS.  You can also get rid of All You magazines up to and including January 2011.  In case you’re wondering…I look through every page of each insert to look at the expiration dates before I toss them!

I would love to donate these to someone who can use them on a military base.  If anyone knows of anyone that can use expired coupons please leave a comment or email me the information.

My Publix Shopping List

My shopping list this week isn’t very long.  My husband has decided to venture into the Mediterranean diet.  He went with me to Publix last week just to look at different foods, ingredients, etc that are a part of the diet and I still did pretty good to get my shopping list in addition to all the things that he wanted to get to make homemade whole wheat pita bread(by the way it was delicious!) for less than $31 and saved $59.  So my grocery list may be a little different now.  The Publix ad that starts Wednesday is not that exciting for me at least…except for 25¢ peanut butter!
